Quick answer: doola and USBizGuru both form a US LLC for a founder in India. doola bills as an annual subscription, currently $237 for the first year and $297 a year at list price, with state fees on top. USBizGuru charges once: $49 to $199 plus the $103.75 Wyoming state fee. The bigger difference is what happens after the company exists. doola is built around US bookkeeping and tax. We are built around the India side: Form FC before your first transfer, the Export Declaration Form rules that start on 1 October 2026, and Schedule FA in your ITR. Prices below were checked on 25 September 2026.
We are going to compare ourselves to a competitor and then recommend them in one case. Yes, this is our blog. No, we are not going to pretend doola is a bad company: they are good at what they do, and what they do is not what most Indian freelancers actually need.
Price, side by side
- doola Starter: $237 for the first year (list price $297 a year), billed annually, state fees extra. Formation happens once; the plan renews each year to keep your registered agent, US address and compliance features. Higher tiers add bookkeeping and tax filing at $1,599 and $2,399 a year.
- USBizGuru: $49, $99 or $199, one time, plus the $103.75 Wyoming state fee. After year one you pay the state its $60 annual report fee and renew your registered agent. No subscription to us.
So in year one the gap is small. In year three it is not, because a subscription keeps billing and a one-time fee does not. Work out your own three-year number before you choose either of us: take the yearly plan, multiply by three, add the state fees, and compare it with a single formation fee plus two annual renewals.

Where doola is genuinely better
If any of these describe you, choose doola and tell them we sent you:
- You want US bookkeeping and tax filing in one subscription. Their Tax and Compliance plan files your federal and state returns and gives you a tax consultation. We do not sell that. We prepare your Form 5472 reminder and work with a partner CA; doola does it in-house.
- You want a C-Corp for investors. They form those. We form LLCs.
- You want one dashboard for books, payouts and taxes. That is their product, and it is a good one.
Where we are better, and it is not subtle
Every US formation service stops at the US border. Your LLC exists, your EIN arrives, your Mercury account opens, and then you are on your own with the part that actually decides whether you keep the money: Indian law.
Here is what an Indian owner has to handle, none of which a US-focused service will tell you:
- Form FC, before you send a single rupee to your LLC. An Indian resident who owns a US LLC has made an overseas direct investment under FEMA. Your bank files Form FC with RBI on or before that first transfer. Miss it and there is a late fee, and your bank can block further remittances until it is fixed.
- The Export Declaration Form, from 1 October 2026. If you invoice foreign clients for services, you declare each export to your bank within 30 days of the end of the month, and the money must reach India within 15 months.
- The 90-day rule. Profits your LLC owes you as its owner must come home within 90 days of falling due, under the Overseas Investment Regulations 2022.
- The Annual Performance Report to RBI by 31 December each year, once your LLC is reported.
- Schedule FA in your ITR, every year, declaring the LLC and its US bank account. Missing it can cost a penalty of up to ₹10 lakh under the Black Money Act.
USBizGuru customers get all of that as a dated calendar with reminders a month ahead, an India compliance tracker that watches the EDF and 15-month deadlines on each invoice, a Bring Money Home guide for the two legal routes, and Form FC prepared with our partner CA. Ask doola about Form FC and you will get a polite answer about US compliance.
The small things that matter from India
- Support in your language, on WhatsApp. English, Hindi and Gujarati, from a named person, not a ticket queue.
- EIN without an SSN. Both of us do this. Anyone promising it in days is selling you something: the IRS takes about four to six weeks on a faxed Form SS-4 for a foreign responsible party.
- You approve your SS-4 before it goes. We prepare it, show you every line, and you sign once. Nothing is signed on your behalf.
- Free tools, no signup: the RBI purpose code lookup and the take-rate calculator, which shows how much of your invoice PayPal quietly keeps.
- Refundable before we file. Change your mind before the paperwork goes to the state and you get your money back.
Where we are weaker, honestly
We are smaller than doola. We do not sell bookkeeping. We do not have an in-house CPA; we work with a partner CA for Indian filings and can refer you for US returns. If you want an all-in-one finance stack with a big support team behind it, that is doola, not us. If you want the US formation done properly and the India side handled by people who know what an EDF is, that is us.
Frequently asked questions
Is doola worth it for an Indian founder?
It is worth it if you want US bookkeeping and tax filing bundled into one annual subscription, or a C-Corp. If you are a freelancer or agency owner who needs a Wyoming LLC, an EIN and help keeping RBI happy, you are paying yearly for features you will not use.
USBizGuru can handle this for you.
Our Complete package includes LLC formation, EIN filing, and compliance guidance.
See pricingWhich is cheaper, doola or USBizGuru?
In year one they are close. Over three years a one-time formation fee plus state renewals costs less than an annual plan at $297 a year, because the subscription keeps billing. Do the multiplication for your own case before deciding.
Does doola handle FEMA, Form FC or Schedule FA?
No. doola is a US compliance product. The Indian side of owning a US LLC, which includes Form FC with your bank, the Annual Performance Report to RBI and Schedule FA in your ITR, is yours to arrange. That is the part we built our service around.
Can I move my LLC from doola to USBizGuru?
Yes. Your LLC belongs to you, not to whoever filed it. You change your registered agent, keep your EIN and bank account, and stop the subscription. We can take over the compliance calendar from there.
How long does the EIN really take without an SSN?
About four to six weeks after the signed Form SS-4 is faxed to the IRS. We track the real turnaround on every order, and we tell you the day it is sent and the day the CP-575 arrives.
Do I need a US address and phone number?
You need a US business address, which is included with your registered agent. A US phone number is optional; banks like Mercury and Relay open accounts for owners living in India without one.

The pitch, since you read this far
If you are an Indian freelancer, agency owner or e-commerce seller who wants a US LLC done once, properly, and a team that knows what happens to your money after it lands, start your Wyoming LLC with USBizGuru from $49 plus state fee, or compare the packages.
